2011 arrived at dealer lot, lots of pics.
I will say that I like the center console and rear storage area better and that it made me buy mine sooner.
Just saw the new 2011 in person today at Huntington Beach Jeep. Overall, I would say the interior is not really all that bad BUT I do like my 2010 that much more. The salesman said more folks are asking for the 2010's than the 2011's after seeing the new interior. You could tell that he was an old school retro Jeep guy. When you open the door, stand back and look inside it does look more 'cityized' than a Wrangler should be. Too much chrome for me. The material seems like it will not scratch as easily as the 2010 but I really wonder how the arm rest, door rest area will hold up long term as well. They did throw more area for storage in the Jeep but most of those we very small and nothing really that made me say wow. Sterring wheel in the Jeep has always been big and skinny. The new wheel looks like it comes out of some sports car and out of place in the Jeep. The Freedom panels look nice in the 2011 model and an improvement over the 2010. It's still a Jeep Wrangler and I personally don't see how the interior would make someone not buy a new Jeep. For me, I'm very happy with my 2010 and glad that the new interior doesn't make me second guess my decision. Have fun out there.

The new interior is better made, plan and simple. I've spent a lot of time in JK's and love them but I'll be the first to admit when they improve something.
The Jeep interiors haven't been up to par since the mid build TJ's, it seems everything went down hill a touch from '03 up but I still bought them, wheeled them and loved them just the same.

I'm still waiting for something official to be able to order. I have found out that they are bringing detonator yellow back on sale after dropping it a few months ago.
My pen is poised to sign the order for a CRD Unlimited Det Yellow, when I can get an order form.

I'm not hating on the new interior--just to me it just depends on what you use your Jeep for IMO. If you use it for a lot of wheeling, top and doors off, kids and dogs crawling around in it, dirt, water, dust all over the place, camping stuff crammed in it...like we do, the new interior would be nothing but just worrisome to us. We had our dash scratched up within a month...not due to abuse, but that's just what happens with dirt and dashes come into contact. And dogs are another story. Those padded arm rests and consoles are nice to haves, but I could see those getting cut from dog claws, and if not from that, deteriorated and cracked in a few years. Our other vehicle has a nice, comfy interior. I don't let the dogs in it, and have to work hard to keep it nice. I used to have a roadster--that didn't have any fancy padded, chromey stuff in it either. Why...because the sun destroys it. And sure, if I hadn't had a JK before I'd think the new interior was awesome, but after having owned ours for amost a couple years and seeing how hard we wheel it--I'm so glad it's sparten and I'm pretty sure that's the reason the Wranglers have always been built that way. That's why the carpet comes out...so you can hose it down
But that's just my opinon...no one has to agree with me
