i don't think they changed anything mechanically, and if they can't get body panel fitment right then you shouldn't buy the thing in the first place. wait did i just say that. I think being that the "upgrades" are mostly cosmetic, you will be fine with an early production jeep.

Mine was born january of 08 and it's been great.

 

No new engine, no care.

 

Was hoping for the new engine too.... But I can't wait.

The 3.8 L with some add-ons to sup it up will be just dandy.
