2012 Fever
we will most likely buy a 2012 this november. as a rule of thumb, with both me and my wife working, we are willing to pay 1 week of my net pay. I make the least, and this is a part toy part family car, so there are limits. So about 540, as long as its close. real close. our 07 Rubi with no money out of pocket was 525
My budget is $500 or less per month. Payments for my 2008 are $465, so I'd like to stay as close to that as possible. This time though, I'm upgrading to a Rubi so a little higher payment is acceptable to me.

Man, I thought my $314/month was bad
.
I just owe $3,500 on my 08 unlimited and thought I'd keep it forever (got the lifetime warranty) but now Im starting to get the itch
I had my Jeep in for warranty work (transmission lines recall) and was talking to them about a lift and the effect on warranty. The guy (which is great, I have no problems with my dealership) said the way Chrysler worded it was "Any performance parts added thats not part of its intended use COULD void the warranty." I asked him if they actually watched the commercials for wranglers. Every one I've seen has someone ripping and tear-assing thru mud in the woods

I have the 2008 2 door but had to sell the 07 4 door while buying a house. I am waiting to buy the 2012 and will find the best deal I can. I don't need it but I want it, so it comes down to how long the wife can hold me back. It will be tougher on her because she wants another 4 door too.
When I bought my 08 I think I paid $300 a month for a while,,, then just paid it off. I will probably just pay cash for the differance on a 12. Unless there is some crazy low rate to be had. But the way the market is it would have to be WAY crazy low to to make me hang on to my money and pay a higher interest rate than my money is making.
