Does your wife or significant other know about the "WENCH"? Perhaps "winch" was intended?

Unfortunately, it seems to be human nature to expect the worst. (& beleive every stupid thing they hear) All the Mayans said, was that it's the end of the cycle. The Mayan calendar is cyclical and would start over if there were anyone left to make a new one. It's just the end of the calendar. If you're reading this I assume you're still alive, which is amazing, because our calendar ended 6 days ago. Our calendar (cycle) ends every 12 months, & the earth hasn't exploded yet. Even Mayan descendants don't think the world will end in 2012. They aren't concerned about it at all. There is, as AZJeeper pionted out, a galactic alignment that will occur on that date. I find it fascinating that an ancient culture had such precise math, that they could figure that out. But that's not unheard of throughout history. Many ancient cultures knew how to do things that modern science still can't figure out. I'd love to see some JK's built up for this scenario, or any survivalist scenario for that matter, But I don't believe that "The sky is falling".
Y2k was a computer glitch fear, that grids/systems would crash.2012 is a "earth Change" ie,global disasters based on gravitational tugs from the Black Hole at the center of our Galaxy,an unhappy alignment for living things.Tiny gravitational variations can apparently trigger earthquakes, but hey, bacteria that thrives on arsenic might treat the planet better...

Lots of gas. lots of rations...Canadian though, as the US rations lick b@##$. 4 shotguns (1 for each of us, wife and 2 girls) and much ammo. a few pistolas, and a few C-7's (M16A2), again, with lots o ammo.
Re-enforced suspension, roof rack, big bumpers w/winch, air compressor. And a trailer, to tow all of the other stuff I want to save my arse.
