2012 Sahara check engine?

My buddy put a down payment on a 2012 sahara brand new! The dealer called him today telling him that the check engine light was on, so they are inspecting the vehicle!?!? There Is 7 miles on vehicle.... They explained it might be a loose wire, anyways they havent been able to find the problem in the last 2 days. They told him they were waiting for a wiring schematic, because they didn't have one for 12' vehicles...he asked me what he should do?? Check engine light on right from factory! See what they say?? Or stayyyy away??

Check to see if they put the right engine in... Sorry couldn't help it. I would have dealer order new Jeep, and get them to do some kind of reimbursement for the delay. Or demand full refund and go to other dealer. Worked when girlfriend bought her Camerey a few years back. Good luck.

I would wait to find out what they say it is that's causing the c.e.l. to come on before getting too scared. If there was a something that was damaged during assembly, like a wire or sensor, thats not a big deal. Now if they start saying something outrageous about the engine and stuff, you should ditch it before signing papers!
