Any of the 2012s have any steering wheel problems yet. Buttons not working, etc?

Buddy of mine has a 2011 and his steering wheel is not functioning.

I serached and found out that this was a constant problem with the 2011.

Common fix: By hitting the wheel at the 2 o'clock position and or beeping the horn.
I also heard there was a software patch to fix this at the dealer.

Just wondering if any of the 2012 has this same problem or not. Thanks.

 

My horn is difficult to engage. I guess I wouldn't want it to be too sensative, but it requires more effort than I think is safe.

 

I have had my 2012 for about 2 months now and have had no issues. I have the uconnect and nav system.

No problems so far. I have the 730N unit and 770 miles. I'm constantly changing radio stations (Sirius) or scrolling through my USB Drive song lists and frequently adjusting the volume using the steering wheel buttons. I've used the horn a couple of times.

My buddy just did the 'hitting the steering wheel' trick on his 2011 and IT WORKED!!

Man this kinda suck. Not sure how the new software patch updater work on this as it sounds like a loose wiring problem.

I hope Jeep has fixed this issue on the 2012.
