Default 2012 Vs. 2010 0-80 MPH Drag Race (video)

I know we didn't buy jeeps for racing but, this video gives a little insight to the difference between the 3.8L and 3.6L.

The 3.8L has 33" tires, and the 3.6 has the stock Saharas. That is the only benifit for the 3.6L. I am going to make a new video soon for an equal comparison!

Both are Unlimited's and 6 Speed.

2012 Wrangler 3.6 vs. 2010 Wrangler 3.8 0-60 - YouTube

Let me know what you guys think

Cool video...Couple of questions though:

-Do both jeeps have the same gearing?
-Any mods done on the 2010?
-In order to have an even playing field with no other variables to Skew the outcome, have you considered using a 3.8 JK with the same gearing, same size tires and with no mods added if any...

I absolutely love the added power and new trans on my '12.....

-Both jeeps have the stock gearing.
-The 2010 just has 33" tires
-As of this week we both have 2.5 inch lifts and 33" tires. We plan on doing this again

Yeah and how about shifting consistency of driver. I'd like to see this. Swap tires between the two now and make the 2012 work harder. If the 2012 still is faster with bigger tires and also race twice and the second round switch drivers and jeeps and if the 2012 still wins then right there you know. Heck id say even find a set of 35's and have the 2012 run those verses the other with the stock tires and keep seeing that way.

God, there's just something about the sound of big off road tires peeling out. I just love it! It just sounds so much cooler then say, performance summer tires peeling out. I'm curious how a 3.8 with a supercharger would run against a stock 3.6. Anybody else??

Nope ain't over, 3.8 overheated, consumed 3 quarts of oil, and got passed by smart cars on the way home. Don't matter how you do this race, 3:21 and 35's vs 4:10's and stock tires.......results are gonna be the same. Why are people so stubborn?????
