Man... A local dealer is discounting 11's so much, I'm not sure waiting for my '12 is worth it. Same equipped JKU Rubi: 2012 - $36990 vs 2011 - $33,729. And don't forget 0% APR for 11s.

I thought about this same thing. Tough call. For me, in the end I figure it is worth the extra money to get the 2012. The lack of power is one of the biggest complaints some of the current owners make. And the initial reviews have been pretty good so far. Once I factored in a few other considerations, I decided to wait. Of course I have at least 3 weeks before mine is delivered so there is still time to change my mind.

I traded my 2011 Rubicon for a new 2012 Rubicon and the difference is night and day. You'll be glad you waited when you get the 2012.

That's been that way since 2007

Drove a 2011 with 4.10s and a 2012 with 3.73s today, both autos. I must say that the 12 kicked the crap out of the 11. The 3.8 with the auto feels terrible (I DD a manual with 3.21s and the auto felt worse). The 3.6 has some balls. Gets up and goes and doesn't back off until you do.

Crawled under it to look at the exhaust and the loop is no where near as bad as the pictures make it look. It doesn't stick down any lower than anything around it.

Soon as crush is available I'll be down at the dealership demanding that they take my money

The 2011 3.8 is under power. I would pay the extra money and wait for the 2012 JK. With that said. I have a 08 JKU Rubicon and will be getting a JKU Rubicon with a 3.6 in the near future. My

saw a 2 door sport model today that is already accounted for. dealer just got it yesterday and has it sitting in their back lot waiting for pickup. red, hardtop, sport model, cloth. nothing outstanding to note except the engine. they wouldnt let me get in it or drive it because it's sold. they did pop the hood though. the pentastar fills up the engine bay. good luck getting a 2nd battery in there for a winch or lights. didnt have time or a tape measure to compare any body dimensions to check the supposed minor tweaks to the front to fit the engine. mpg on the sticker was 17/21

Anyone have any idea why my JKUR would be built on 7/18, spend 2 weeks sitting at VASC - Toledo Nitro Creek Yard, OH, get plant release on 7/29, be loaded on a truck and sent to Toledo North Assembly, OH where it currently sits "On Hold"? Just trying to understand the delivery process since two of my previously listed delivery dates have now come and gone.
