Here's my take on this, and I believe it echoes the masses-
I'm all about Gecko, Crush, and Dozer- fantastic; they're not for me, but a lot of people like them, I respect that. The problem is, most of us aren't into our rigs looking like tropical citrus fruits. As stated by others here, earth tones are where it's at. The problem is the earth tone options we have. Ok, I guess I speak for myself when I say that Sahara Tan is gross, can't believe I'm the only one who thinks so, but there it is. When folks are saying "I'm waiting to order once they bring Sahara Tan back", you know you have a problem.
Deep Cherry? Bla, looks faded- bring back Red Rock!
Cosmos Blue? Yeah, it's grown on me, but bring back Deep Water Blue!
You know my feelings on Sahara Tan.
Black, White, Silver- safe choices, probably the top sellers, and I think this emphasizes the lack of inspiration JK buyers get from their other options. For the record, my 2012 is white.
Black Forest Green? Ok, getting warmer- good time to retire the old green that was a little too '1990s'.
Winter Chill? You mean 'rental car silver-blue? Reminds me of the rental Chrysler Sebrings I seem to always get stuck with while traveling. Should have been a non-metallic color, more like that robin egg color you can get on the VW Beetle.
Crush, Gecko and Dozer? Cool, nice to look at, wouldn't want to own them, but I respect them.
How about a dark gray or charcoal? I've ALWAYS been a fan of GMC's Stealth Gray. THAT would be tits on a JK!
PUK, I mean, Bronze Star Pearl Metallic... How about something reminiscent of this, with more brown; darker, and less like baby diarrhea?
This rant sure makes it sound like there are a lot of options, and while that might be, it's not the quantity lacking, it's the quality.
I clearly have too much free time on my hands.

Yeah the new colors are pitiful in my opinion... I don't want a pastel or brightly colored jeep... Only the deep cherry & forest green are on my radar right now, but the pictures I've seen don't match paint chips on either one so have to see these colors first. I'm pissed they got rid of mango that's the first Orange I've ever liked.
Wow guys!! Sorry to hear the strong dislike of the " Impact colors " but I strongly disagree! See JEEP WRANGLER in essence is a unique vehicle like no other! And so are it's owners! Every auto manufacturer will have your standard Black, White, Silver blend in with the rest colors.. It's a given! Only a handful of Vehicles are unique enough to pull off those loud look at me colors...... And jeep is and wants to be one of them! Go on YouTube and see what Jeep marketing and designers are doing... It's quite interesting! The majority of sales for the 4 door are primarily young people and most are young family's looking for a FUN vehicle! Now there are factors that may cause people not to buy those loud colors!! Such as a person who buys for a Daily Driver? Me on the other hand ordered Cosmos Blue! Now this is not my DD, but just a 3rd vehicle to take out on nice days, to the beach or off roaring and towing our Seadoo's! So for me Cosmos blue was the color I've been wanting.. ( my original choice was surf blue pearl) but wanted the upgrades and my wife and I loved Cosmos!! So we saved/ waited! Ordered our Loaded JKU Rubicon on 9/20 and expect delivery next week! So to all you loud color haters... Realize that you are a part of something bigger than you! And while I don't hate any color Jeep makes, I love the loud standout bright colors that are the soul of what Jeep wrangler stands for! I respect everyone's own individuality! Not sure if you guys realize this or not but Jeep wrangler isn't your standard everyday 4x4 like a Toyota 4 runner or chevy Trailblazer.. That you don't even notice on the road! It's purely unique in style, functionality and COLOR!! Enjoy all the bright loud colors guys! They are fellow jeep owners... And they are here to stay!!
-end rant
