I value your opinions.......... On the 2013 soft top they have a option for it. A spring assist to take down your top for approximately $400. What is your opinion on this?

 

I never heard of anyone complaining about the current top. I guess they had some women complain to dealers about it.

 

Never had any trouble taking the top off, but the JKU is more difficult to put back up than the TJ was.
If it's a spring assist to put back up and your wife drives the Jeep a lot it might be worth it.

 

$400...no thanks.

 

I passed on that......nice that they offer that but.....................$400 is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooo much.

 

pass on the factory top completely and get a trek top !

 

Is it just a spring assist for $400? I have not seen the 2013 option, but read on another forum there was a "deluxe" soft option that was a spring assist AND a thicker 3-layer (ply?) top. Maybe that's what's $400.

But no - no way a spring assist for that amount!

 

I'm a woman and I've never had a problem taking my top off!!!!

 

I think they call that a Burn...
