We tried to tune the Jeep but could only do the trans without sending the computer out to hp for I believe $249 so that we could get into it. From what they said 15 and later have to be "unlocked". As for a cooler thermostat we just ordered one from Mishimoto for around $60 after shipping. It is a 180 degree vs the stock 203. Just have to pull spring out of housing and replace thermostat. Below is a picture of what we bought. Hope this was helpful

I'm putting pictures of how it all comes apart in case you need to know. Hope it helps
This is how it sits in house take note on how spring is before taking apart. To release just press down on spring and turn
This is it released from housing
And this is it removed
To install just reverse the removal procedure

Yes thanks JKHub, we knew about the unlock procedure but you have probably noticed the Pentastar with a bit more giddyup due to not pulling so much timing advance at higher RPM. What we want to do with sons unit is get that torque/HP band down from that excessively idiotic rating. What idiot at FCA thought that rating HP at 6400RPM and redlining at 6000 was a good idea. You should play with Power Enrichment as well and that will prevent the timing retard because of knock.
