2015 specific questions. Sales ppl?
In need of info on ordering a '15 JKU Rubi. I'm currently overseas and dealing with Exchange Car Sales (military sales service) and the sales reps aren't super smart beyond what their computer says. I have 2 very specific questions that are escaping the whole gang. The Jeep website doesn't give info on the '15s yet.
1- If I order the Unlimited Rubicon with max tow package does it come stock with 4:10 gears? It's listed as a $500 option AND as standard equipment in the computer system. Several online quote sites show the same thing. I want the 4:10s but nobody wants to get ripped off by paying for something that can be free!
2- the same computer quote system says that when you add the automatic transmission you MUST upgrade to the Alpine 9 speaker system due to "material restriction" (the 24R package). I was told that this "might" change in October. I know I can install a better sounding setup for less money.
I've sent these questions to another dealership I am talking to, but hoping this brain trust has some input. Looking forward to driving a Jeep again, but for this money it will be perfect.

As for the tow package, the previous years 4:10s came with the tow pack, seems to be the same this year, looking at a 15 on the lot I got my 14 from, it did not have tow pack and only had 3:73's. As for the sound system coming with the auto, hard to say, but I know they changed the front speakers and put the sub in the floor box in the cargo area on the 15s, not a fan of the update myself. I do like the output of the alpine upgrade in my 14 rubicon, the regular stereo in the 14s sucked balls, the alpine with a 430n sounds really good to me, even with the top off and doing 70, although the front speakers being in the dash now facing up might nuter that.
At any rate, hope that helps a little.

In regards to your question about the 4.10 gears, the 14' rubicons came with them stock. You can go to jeep.com and select the rubicon and it is a standard feature. I did not even ask when I went to by my jeep because I thought it came stock but I got the two package anyways. All the tow package says- "trailer tow with 4 pin connector wiring"

2 dealerships have broke it down for me as such, the auto tranny gets 3.73 and 6 speed gets 4.10 with max tow. Doesn't seem legit to me but I'm not a vehicle manufacturer. I can't slam any sales person for not knowing, car makers make things unnecessarily complex these days. And buying a new Jeep via email only makes it worse.
Anyone got solid info on spring rates for the Max Tow package vs not paying for it? I can do hitch/ wiring but springs matter. I've also read about different software for the tow package that can't be had without it. Anti-sway maybe? All this nuance makes me want to cancel my order and track down my YJ to buy back.
