Little history. Daimler sold Chrysler to Cerebus in May 2007. Daimler, Chrysler and the Failed Merger - Management Case Study Fiat bought 59% of Chrysler in 2009.
When I picked up my Jeep in May 2007 the dealership was removing Daimler signage and placing Cerebus banners. The ongoing Daimler tie is the Grand Cherokee platform.
