2020 RUBICON UNICORN
Hello all, I am new to this and wanted to gather your thoughts and opinions on having a 2020 Rubicon "UNICORN". I have just found out that my Jeep is exceeding rare because it is a Diesel, has the Power roof and Saddle leather seats.
● Inaugural Diesel Year: The 3.0L EcoDiesel was first offered for the 2020 model year, making this vehicle part of the very first production run of diesel Wranglers.
● Rubicon Trim Overlap: The Rubicon + EcoDiesel combination is the rarest configuration. Estimated Rubicon EcoDiesel production: fewer than 5% of all JL Wranglers produced during the EcoDiesel window.
● Production Ceased: Production of the EcoDiesel in all Jeep vehicles ceased early in the 2023 model year. Total EcoDiesel Wrangler production spanned approximately three model years (2020–2023).
● Powertrain Never to Be Repeated: Stellantis has confirmed it will not produce another diesel Wrangler, making this a “last of its kind” powertrain — the most torque-rich and refined engine ever fitted to a Wrangler from the factory.
● Ward’s “10 Best Engines” Pedigree: The 3.0L EcoDiesel won Ward’s “10 Best Engines” award in 2014, 2015, and 2016 — three consecutive years of industry recognition.
● Ultimate Configuration: This vehicle combines the most extreme factory off-road hardware (Rock-Trac transfer case, electronic lockers front and rear, disconnecting sway bar, Fox shocks) with the most refined, efficient, and torque-dominant powertrain ever offered in a Wrangler
What do you esteemed gents think about this? Its current and potential value? Will this be a collector's vehicle in the future? Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you
