What did they rub? Fenders? Just trim or get leveling kit. Sway bars? You need more backspacing on the tire.

Here's my 2 cents worth...

Stock wheels -- they probably rub at full turn; Adjust the steering stops and possibly trim/remove the front air dam. See link in signature below for a picture of the steering stops. A leveling kit won't fix it.

Aftermarket wheels with more back-spacing-- they probably rub at full articulation on the fenders; Add bump stops, modify fenders, and similar. A typical leveling kit won't fix it, but it the rub will happen less often (because of more up-travel before hitting the bump stops).

Typically on stock wheels you need to run wheel spacers for those tires, and a leveling kit would help also. Even then, you'd probably rub your fenders if you disconnect the sway bar and flex.

Good spacers are the same as wheels with a similar resulting backspacing. Either will put some greater leverage/load on ball joints, etc.

I just cut the "wings" off the front air dam and put two small washers on my steering stops. My 275/70R18's are the same as a 33X11. I have zero issues at full flex and full lock. I have a very mild 2" coil spring lift.
