OK - here comes another post on as the Title says; 2013 JKU 6spd 3.73s on 33s.. Seriously considering AEV 2.5 in Dual Sport lift. After searching the Forum I do not find any recent posts on this specific kit. So here is a request from the members that use this lift... would you buy this again. I am biased as AEV has Mopar engineers on staff; also think it is a good value buy. Will be a DD with occasional off road in Pa off road parks.. NO Rock Gardens. LMK. & Thanks.
Yes for your described usage that will be great. Might want to look at some skinny 33’s ie 255/80-17 tires. With that set up you can do the rubicon trail.
Thanks for all the Feedback.. Ordered the AEV today. Current tires are 28570/17s WildpAT3s... when replaced going with 285/75r17s should get very close to 34's.
It's an alright lift. Mopar engineers on staff, so what. If the Mopar engineers are so great why not buy a Mopar lift? Its a bit pricey for what you get. Since you ordered it did you order the drop brackets for caster correction. They do not come with the kit and is really what makes the kit ride well. This kit lacks an adjustable track bar, lacks extended brake lines, lacks extended sway bar links, the bump stops are fixed so you can't fine tune the set up to your tires. I have never seen why people recommend this kit so much.
The MetalCloak Overland touring lift kit would be a better lift and with their Rocksport shocks will have more flex, the ability to match the bump stops to the tire size, includes rear sway bar links and front extended brake lines. It also has shock relocation brackets to gain more clearance for the shock to the frame up front. I would add a rear raised track bar bracket and front adjustable track bar to the kit.
2.5" with 33s looks proportionally nice and no problem turning 33s with that gearing. Essentially that's what I have going on. Limits you on the rocks maybe but fine for trail use, overlanding and still makes for a decent DD.

I put the 2.5” AEV Dualsport lift on my JK recently and simply love it. I read so many reviews with folks saying their JKs rode and preformed better than stock with the AEV lift that I that I had high expectations, especially because of the price. So, we put on the AEV lift, Geometry brackets (highly recommend as well) new AEV Pintlers, new 315/70R17 K02s and several other mods and I’m happy to report the Jeep does indeed ride better than stock. It’s a dream off road too and really looks alot better that stock.
