2WD to 4WD?

Question 2WD to 4WD?

Can you fit a transfercase on a 07 2wd jeep trans? basicly can i make a 2wd a 4wd without replacing the trans?

yup bolts right up .. no need to change the trans.. i did the swap .. need axle/4wd transfer case/ driveshafts.. and around 250 bucks worth of oem parts let me know if you have any questions on the swap ..you can do it cheap if you find a used transfer case / axle

as long as it is a jeep jk 4wd trans case.you can use a x/sport case or a rubi they have different part numbers for auto and man trans case... but a few people say either one will work.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and less painful to just trade in the 2wd for a 4wd?

for me it was a lot cheaper to buy a 2wd and put a rubi front axle and transfer case it .. so i basically have a rubi for the price of a x or cheaper
