Default 2WD Wrangler vs Jeep Patriot 4x4

Your Jeep is broken, and, your friend invites you for wheeling.

He offers you 2 choices. The first one is a Wrangler JK 2WD, and the second one is a Jeep Patriot 4x4

Which would be your choice?

The JK. I would prefera 2dr 2wd JK over a 4dr because of the shorter wheelbase.

And at least the Wrangler, though 2wd, is still designed for off-roading. I would be to afraid the Patriot would...break

Slap your friend for not having a 4WD JK, then get in the JK. (The first part is a joke people)

I don't think they make a 2wd 2dr Wrangler. Depending on what type of wheeling, I might choose the Wrangler, I don't think the Patriot was designed for tough wheeling. I think I would stay away from both to tell you the truth, you are just asking for problems.

Wrong anwers guys

Don't go in the mud or sand with a 2WD JK. The weight is on the front (engine), and, it's rear-wheel drive. You will get stuck in the mud waiting for help

The Patriot is not solid, has low clearance, but it's a real time 4x4. You will be able to wheel like any other 4x4 SUV.

The 2WD JK is like any other 2WD pick-ups (all the weight is on the front). Stay out of the trails

They do make 2wd but only for the 4 doors I believe. Waste of Jeep in my opinion hopefully someguys that planned on wheeling didn't think that all Wranglers were 4wd.

i would say no thanks to both choices and choose to run the trail while making the sound of a very very angry and whining 3.8 mini van engine
