I am sorry if I am not posting this in the correct spot… but I need help. I have a 2008 jku with 160k miles. I’ve loved this jeep since 2014 and it’s just one of many I’ve had / have. I have had a deep dive into the forums to find a solution for this problem but have been unsuccessful thus far. This forum has helped me previously so I decided to give it a shot.
The story- a few months ago I was driving and my temp gauge dropped to zero and my ETC light came on. As the thermostat is mechanical I was not worried. The issue would come and go until recently when it has permanently been affixed to the dash. The fan will blow on high immediately on start up and I am getting a code for coolant temp circuit high.
what I’ve done- replaced CTS with OEM jeep part. Inspected wiring harness and connections. Gone through the gauge sweep to verify cluster is working.
has anyone had this issue? What was the solution / next try to diagnose? Thank you in advance for the advice and help! Need this done so I can begin my 74 cj5 restoration!
