35" tire ?

If I were to add a 3" lift and 35's to a JK Unlimited, can you put a 35 on the stock rear tailgate or do you have to upgrade to a bumper with swing out carrier?

It can be done but it's an extremely tight fit. Personally, I would upgrade with a rear bumper tire carrier or at least install a bestop tire mount which replaces the factroy one but still uses just the tail gate.
