My quote should be fully read as, "My real-world experience is ... you do need to trim." I stand by that statement when read in that context.

When I got my 35s, was running flat fenders on my 14 JKR with no lift. Trimmed the Rubi rails but the pinch seam was already cut at ~45*. Was fine on the road but offroad fully flexed, the tire was getting a wee bit too close.


I then installed a 2" spacer lift which fixed it...

Every wheel, tire, pressure, Jeep combo is different. What works for one, may not work for another. It's a little bit of a mod, wheel, check & adjust deal.
