Default 4:10 gear ratio

When I ordered my Automatic Unlimited X "S" package, the salesman told me the 4:10 gear ratio was not available. Does anyone know if this is true. The website say's it is available.

I have the exact setup. Don't know why it wouldn't be available.

Do you think he just doesn't know what he is talking about and I should leave it alone or should i bring it up to him again?

Show him in their pamplet book that they give out, about 3/4 of the way through, under the specs, axle ratio;

4-speed automatic....................................4.10 std.

Unless he can show you that DC changed the setup, which is entirely possible.

Is the 4:10 a lot better than the 3:20 for mainly on-road riding and light beach riding?

4.10 is better for everything a Jeep does other than highway gas mileage.

And if you were buying a Jeep Wrangler for the "highway gas mileage"...
