Does anyone know what the heck is going on with the 4 Door Rubicons and the 4 Door Rubicons with Half Doors? You would think tha there would be some kind of information telling us if they are in Production or they are not in Production. I still have not seen any pics of the 4 Door with Half Doors. You would think that Jeep would have at least posted some pics so we could see what we are ordering. Maybe I am just getting a little frustrated with the whole ordering process. I like what I have read and am really looking forward to getting my Rubi, but the lack of information is getting to me. Am I alone or is everyone else just kicking back?

Any info would help me with my insanity.

I've been trying to get my 4dr Rubi ordered with half-doors as well. My dealer told me 2/28 would be the first day they could order them. That came and went with a note from my sales guy saying that Chrysler had updated the order system, but the codes were not yet available to the dealers.

Here's the latest status I received today ...

Rob I just got off the prone with our Chrysler dealer representative. I brought him up to speed of what was going on and he said he is going to give the plant manager at Chrysler a call to find out what is causing the delay in the system. He mentioned typically the ordering system updates don't take effect until the next ordering cycle which will be Monday. So he is going to update me once he gets a call back from the Chrysler Plant Manager. At that point I will let you know. I apologize for the hold up but I'm trying to expedite the process as quickly as possible for you. I can't control Chrysler I can only give you the information they provide us. The moment the change takes place your Rubicon is the first car going into the system.

I hope they do a better job making them than they're doing with ordering them.

 

Huh ... that's interesting. I was told it was a limitation on the 4 doors, but they were available on the 2 doors. I went to a second dealer and got the same story. Maybe I'm getting jerked around.

 

I don't even know what to think anymore.

I got a call back from the dealership this morning and they indicated that the half-doors are pushed back to 3/23 and they cannot place my order. That is, of course, now beyond the 3/14 deadline to order Rescue Green, so it would seem a 4dr Rescue Green with half doors isn't gonna happen.

I could just choke these guys!

 

A further update from my dealership ... Rescue Green is not going to be discontinued. Half doors should now be available for order on 3/21 (I'll believe that when I see it).

Maybe I'll get this thing ordered the way I want yet.
