The one in the show up against the Hemi had the intercooler on it though didn't it?

I'd get the 4-door first and figure out what you want to do with the engine later.

Why isn't "sell the 2-door and buy a 2012 4-door with the new motor" an option?

I don't even own a Jeep yet so my input is invalid. My ideal would probably be a 2 dr JK with an Isuzu diesel in it.

I have a 2007 jeep green 2 door and always think about the 4 door until last weekend I was parked and a 4 pulled right up next to me. It really is no different than the 2, certainly not enough to justify the cost. Sounds like you have a great jeep, just ad a Ripp if you want more power.

Well I thought about that. And I have read alot about what the 2012 MIGHT be like with the new motor but to much unknown at this point.
And a super charger,,, I guess I didn't think of thet when I posted up poll,,,, And I'm not very well schooled on that topic I guess.

I like the 2dr but more space seems like a good idea. And more power is ALWAYS needed,,, well honestly everything is a want,, not need.

The 4dr feels much less powered so HEMI all the way. A supercharger is just asking for trouble a new engine is to follow not far behind.

You can guess how I voted. But I do not need the room of a 4 door.

I believe RIPP is a viable option. On the highway with the RPM's up above 2k they both do fine. The RIPP was not yet sorted out enough back when I hemied the Jeep.

I would still have put the V-8 in though. I just do not think a supercharger would give me the same grin factor the hemi does right from idle. But it is all personal preference, and how much money you are willing to part with.

A diesel would be a sweet option, but I am not moving to Europe for one.

The vast aftermarket support is what makes this vehicle awesome. You can toss being practical out the window if you like, and just build something thats fun for you.

People who have driven both are completely content with RIPP experience - its difficult for us to be unbiased - or sound like we're selling you on it - But really our supercharger fills the gap up nicely without worry or excavating a hole in your pocket.

Worst case (which seldom happens) the RIPP GEN2 sells off to the next guy in minutes, because used RIPP kits don't last a week on Ebay.
