Default 4wd selector cable

So after a fun day of wheelin with some buds, I go to put my JK back in 2 hi and the selection lever had no resistance whatsoever! I removed the center console and of course I found the cable disconnected. Obviously the stock hardware is crap! Is there anything that I can do to fasten the cable back and make sure this NEVER happens again?

^^ X2. There are some fixes for the stock one, but it will just happen again. Next time could be crawlin under the heap in the snow or mud to shift it. This fix is worth the time & money.

Looks good! I need a quick fix for now though until I can save up for that. Anything a little more temporary?
