I drive a 2008 JK Unlimited. It is only slightly modified with new tires and a heavy duty front bumper. The AC compressor went out on me the other day and the dealership is saying they wont cover it under warranty because the Jeep was bottomed out and the differential hit the compressor and damaged it.
Is that even possible? I cannot remember a time when I would have hit something hard enough for the shocks to compress that fast.

 

If that had happened I think you'd have much worse issues than the compressor.

 

X2 - You would definitely have a lot bigger problems if you took a hit that hard to knock out the compressor.
