I just got the new AEV hood, however it cannot get painted for another month. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas or had a cool concept that would look good on a silver JK 4D Rubicon. I have thought of maybe painting the whole hood silver and leaving the middle of it flat black or greyish flat with either the AEV logo in the center or mine AZJTR. Any suggestions or photo's would be greatly appericated. Like I said I have about a month to decide what I am going to do. Thanks for any help.

 

I thought about painting the center of mine black, but then just got the whole thing painted one color. I figure I might get a black vinyl decal made for the middle one of these days.

As far as putting a logo on it.....thats not for me. I'm guess I'm not a sticker/logo guy. I think it looks tacky unless its a sponsored rig and the advertised company was forking the bill to put it on there for ya. I guess I have personal issues against spending large sums of my money to help advertise for a company further than just using their parts. All of my stickers go on my toolbox in the garage.

I did paint the 3 vents in the hood black. It looks pretty damn good in contrast to the bright silver paint on the JK. You will love the hood, it looks great once installed.

 

Thanks, I was also planning on painting the vents, so far no advertisments on the Jeep. I have to admit AEV does have a nice Logo, small and simple...

Yeah, I saw that, looks nice. That was my original thought was to paint the middle flat black but I really want to do something different that nobody has done before. Just thought somebody here would have come up with something crazy on paper that I could maybe give to the paint shop and create it...
