Default AEV vs. Teraflex Pricing

Just wanted to comment that I was a bit surprised when comparing the pricing of the Teraflex 3" Kit ($1671) vs. the AEV 3.5" Premium Kit ($1674).

I've read on numerous posts about how people consider the AEV kit outstanding, but overpriced. I was really expecting the Teraflex, which also has rave reviews on various forum posts, to beat the tar out of it on pricing, but it actually came out more expensive...

Anyone have any comments on why this is? Does it include something significant that the AEV kit doesn't? I ask more out of ignorance since they both seem so highly praised but the AEV has the bad rap for being overpriced.

I too was wondering the same thing... since they are priced similar, which is better if you ignored price? When I say better I'm curious about;

Ride Quality
Quality of parts/fitment
Things that make one kit better than the other/differences?

It seems that the AEV kit comes with Pro-Cal & Steering stabilizer

To me, that's not a deal breaker since I use a PSC Hydro steering with cooler and a different tuner... They would be something I'd have to sell private party.

To OP, I assume you've contacted some of the sponsor vendors for pricing ?

Naw, this is strictly from pulling pricing from the Buy Now button on their websites. Very good point made though.

I guess I was thinking there was a qualitative reason for the pricing differences since the AEV had such premium pricing reputation. I figured there would be an easy justification like the TeraFlex kit comes with XYZ that the AEV kit doesn't come with, which raises the price substantially or something along those lines...

Not sure about Tera but AEV does not come with control arms.... You reuse yours and they are not adjustable if you want to go bigger.... I'm an AEV fan but have been leaning toward Clayton and RK as of lately for the adjustability for castor angle... Your ride depends it.
