I'm partial to the AEV hood based on looks AND it's made in the USA.

I think you have a very limited choices to call this a poll. There are alot of other options out there. Personally TOTL Innovations gets my vote and when I'm ready to do a swap will get my business.

what about the 10th anniversary hood? Very similar to AEV hood and half the price.

That would get my vote, although it's heat reducing properties are a little suspect.
