Default Airing down the John Deere

On this site I've learned to air down the tires when driving in very loose gravel or sand. So I'm starting to transport 10tons of small rounded stones around my property. Using a John Deere garden tractor with a cart. It has very non-aggressive turf tires. When towing the cart full of stone over top of the already spread out stone the tires started to spin. I remembered the airing down trick I read about here. Sure enough, gained considerable traction and a lot less tire spinning.

I don't think airing down will help you much with a garden tractor, the bead ring on those small tires is not very strong. Let to much air out and the tires won't grip the wheel, imho.

Put some bead locks on the mower, haha.

Before we got our zero turn, we had a John Deere garden tractor. We used tubes with slime inside. Pretty much couldn't lose a bead unless totally flat, full speed, and turn REALLY sharp.

I still want to see pics of the garden tractor hauling that much weight!!

I don't think he meant 10 tons in 1 load, just 10 tons of rock total that he will be transporting around his house/garden. Little by little-total of 10 tons..
