this is about stupid. so ive known for awhile but ive tried bout all i can do. i have a 07 n awhile ago i got to looking under the jeep n low and behold i find rust. but itss not your normal surface rust or anything, its bad bad rust. my exhaust is horribly rusted. the hangers for the exhaust are the worst like its probably almost completely rusted through. so bad the i can pick at it and flakes of rust will fall of. but thats not what im really mad aabout. the most is on the frame. its bad around the rear part of the frame where the cross member is and springs and fender wells are. ive tried cleanning the frame best i can n putting rustolium on there but im stll paranoid its still rusting into the frame. any thoughts, sugestions? anyone have the same problem.

 

We've had a couple folks who have posted on this forum of the "delights" of driving in water of oceans and the gulf. That is a prescription for severe rust. I've also seen four Jeeps here in the lower 48 that originally came from Hawaii. I used to live on Guam and if HI is anything like that, a vehicle from there may have more problems with rust. You might seek advice from one of the rust prevention places (Ziebart, etc). Don't just undercoat-- it sounds like you need more protection than just spraying the bottom.
