Default All this talk of slow JK

I know the wrangler is ment for offroad fun but Who out there has the 6 speed and is happy with the acceleration. I have the manual trans. I sold cars for 7 years always had a demo so I'm familiar with acceleration. By no means is a JK a corvette, But I find myself at traffic lights racing ahead of everyone with no problem AT ALL and I drive in a crazy state (NEW JERSEY). Maybe I know how to drive better then most.... dunno I understand the guys with autos might complain because you don't have the control of the gears. Just curious what you think

It's pretty good with the stock set-up. Stock gears with 35's makes it a little slugish.

Let's exam this mathmatically... New Jersey + most H2's per capita = I feel very sorry for you! Just bustin your chops...enjoy the JK, they are snappy little fun boxes! (I don't believe I said that!!) Take care... Mike

true statement H2 are all over the road. lol maybe thats why it seems I am going faster. Think the h2 has a 0 to 60 in 12secs lol.

Stock measure 32" but the 35's are alot wider and have a more aggressive tread.

Yea but other then throwing a big block or deisel what is expected. Can u imagine having a civic vtec engine rolling 35's. I had the 4.0 didn't think the acceleration was better....maybe just me

i have 33's and 3.21 gears. when i can light em up in first, and chirp em in second well then that is good enough for me! it is better than my '95 ford escort that won t even do a reverse drop

i really like it, glad i got the jeep and not a f-150 like i wanted. it will never come close to my'85 f-150 prostreet truck, but then the jeep is offroad go, not 1/4 mile go!

got a jeep and loving it! |||||||

I think it has plenty of power. I have the 6spd, too, with a Rubi Unlimited. No problems zipping around in traffic. I love the entire powertrain in this thing, from the feel of the clutch to the smooth engine.
