Default Am I retarded?

With all this snow lately, I see so many fellow members posting pics of your Jeeps climbing up these snow piles in parking lots so I decided to try it with no success. Either I have the heaviest Jeep in the world, or I'm just retarded. Every time I try to climb one, and there are some good ones right now in Central NJ, my Jeep stays on the ground and just starts to go through them and flattens the snow. I can't get the friggin' thing to climb a snow pile at all. WTF am I doing wrong? BTW, I am in 4wd when I try to climb it and i do crawl.

You're not retarded...at least that we can tell!
However, I think it has to do with how frozen the pile is...last night (here in SE Virginia) I drove up on one just like I would a rock or log to flex on out on the trail...today I went up on one....and then crushed and drove through it.

So again...your retardation...still up for debate. Flexing on snow piles...depends on conditions.

If you were driving this it may have been the problem.

Does traction control make the Jeep heavier? Does it defrost the snow?

How does traction control effect whether or not a Jeep sinks into a snow pile or climbs it?

My regards,

Widewing
