Any harm from mixing grease?
Store was out of Red N Tacky. Got some green marine grease which is also NGLI approved. Is there any harm in using two different types of grease in a joint?

nope......

Grease compatibility is a whole subject in itself.
Mixing incompatible greases can destroy the item you are trying to preserve. I know because I've seen it happen on aircraft. Google "Grease Compatibility". You will see lots of info and compatibility charts. |
greases are made up of different properties. They break down differently as well. I would not recommend mixing.

Great I already mixed the two. Should I try and flush it out with red and tacky?

Do some homework.
Read the packages the two greases came in, then look them up on a "Grease Compatibility Chart". |
