Default Any harm from mixing grease?

Store was out of Red N Tacky. Got some green marine grease which is also NGLI approved. Is there any harm in using two different types of grease in a joint?

Grease compatibility is a whole subject in itself.

Mixing incompatible greases can destroy the item you are trying to preserve. I know because I've seen it happen on aircraft.

Google "Grease Compatibility".
You will see lots of info and compatibility charts.

greases are made up of different properties. They break down differently as well. I would not recommend mixing.

Great I already mixed the two. Should I try and flush it out with red and tacky?

Do some homework.
Read the packages the two greases came in, then look them up on a "Grease Compatibility Chart".

Don't jump to a conclusion. Homework first.
