this is just a general rant. i mean i love my 07 rubicon a ton. but there some things that i frankly HATE about it.
soft top leaks.
i dont feel like i should have to park on a hill to help my leak problem. i think its ridiculous that i have three towels right now sitting in my car to catch the water. this recent rain today made me reevaluate where my top leaked. i knew it leaked before on the passenger side because i've ended up with a puddle there at 4 times now? theres a leak on the passenger side where the door frame meets that rubber thingy (not sure what its called). theres one not nearly as bad though on the drivers side. the passenger side pillar leaks. the drivers side pillar leaks some too. where the plastic windows meet. in the middle of both sides it seems to be also leaking through the zipper? and then the back corner of my jeep leaks too. there seems to be a slight tear in that fabric that runs across, its a whiteish kinda clothish material and its leaking through. normally my top doesnt leak this bad. but this is the worst rain weve had in a while. /end of soft to rant

i also find it ridiculous that my jeep likes to spit gas back at me. i mean i kinda find it obnoxious that i guestimate how much gas i need so i dont get a puddle of gas on my shoe or all over my hands. the fact that im paying for that wasted gas thats just sitting there on the floor now and down the side of my jeep.

anyone else find the amount of recalls to be kinda annoying too? i mean. i know the 07 was the first year of the JK and theres bound to be problems. but. i mean.

Howdy - I remember when my soft top started leaking, I was FURIOUS! But they switched out the plastic header and I was good to go, but I hear that's a TSB and not a warranty part, which is crap!

 

I have heard soft tops are good for about 3 years.

 

im sure it's gonna be ssdy (same ____ different year?). i could be wrong though. maybe the redesigned tops really are that different. but i can't really afford trading it in for a 2011.

@kawasakirider47 im not actually in boone. i actually live in blowing rock. but haha i think everyone is more familiar with boone.

 

no complaits here about my jeep, other then not having enough money to do all the things i want to it.

I LOVE Blowing Rock. We're there a lot. Love the BBQue at Woodlands, and the view from the bar at Canyons.

 

I know things have been changed for the 2011.. but mine leaks sometimes its a ton of water and other times its barely any... I have an 09

 

Another bitching thread. You knew what u were getting when you bought it. If you cant deal with a few negatives. Buy an F7. Any vehicle that has a removable top or removable doors isnt gonna ride like a Cadilac. Just sayin.
