Default Anyone ever feel like going down from 35"s ?

I love the way my JKU looks on 35s, but even with the new Pentastar, 4.10 gears and the Bullydog performance tune, it's still sluggish. It's hard to justify these tires when I have stock Rubicons on 32s following me anywhere I go.

Anyone ever go down from 35s? Did you miss it? Was there a justifiable increase in power and economy?

I have no problems and would never go back down to something smaller than 35's. ON that note, i am running 4.88's and a manual transmission. If you are running an auto trans that would be closer to a 5.13. Its never sluggish, and there are plenty of things that i do that stock rubi's cant follow me. Im probably going to 37's next year.

You will miss it. Think you maybe expecting too much performance from you v6 jeep. 4.10s, 35's and the pentastar should be damn near perfect. I get by with 3.21's and dd 60+ miles a day

I had 5.13s on my last JK, but that was with the old 4-speed auto tranny. I agree that that ratio was necessary for that drive train.

Largely possible that I just had higher expectations. My other vehicle is a 2002 Blazer 4x4 and that v6 has way more power in all areas and better mileage. I know it's a smaller vehicle with slightly smaller tires, but that engine is decades old as far as technology is concerned. I just expected a state of the art engine like the Pentastar to have a little more to it.

Supercharger, here I come! haha.

I bet you'd still beat a stock 3.8L to 80

With my Pentastar and 4.88's, I can chirp 2nd and 3rd gear on my 35's. I have PLENTY of hp. Are you running an Auto Trans?

Yep. Unfortunately they didn't have any Sport S 's with manual tranny. I thought I'd be okay with auto, but I definitely would do it different if I had the chance.

The 4.3 in your Blazer might feel quicker off the line and around town because it puts out peak torque of 250 ft/lb at just 2800rpm. The Pentastar puts out a total of 260 ft/lb at 4800rpm, but it's also got 95 more horses. I can't imagine your Blazer gets better mileage...I owned one and I think it got 15-16 on a good day in mixed driving. Seems like a Pentastar with 4.10's and 35's would be right in that area.

In my own experience, I've got 33's and 3.73's. Everyone said I'd hate 33's and I'd be moving up to 35's. Nope. Best decision ever. Good mileage, good power, good off road performance.

I have a 2012 rubi with the 4.10 gears running 35s and I don't think I would ever go down in size. Now, mine is a manual. If you really think your jeep is sluggish then maybe regear, but I agree with an earlier post, with the 3.6 V6, new auto trans, and 35s, you should be good.

I really think if you go down in size you will kick yourself later.

My two cents.....
