Wow 17% is crazy. I went through US Bank it got 6.5% for 72 months. The key I look for also is no penalty for paying off early. I like paying more then what is due on the months where things are calm and then going back to the set payment around the holidays when money is more tight.

Well I was thinking about an old russian menthality: if you have 100, borrow 20 and get something for 120.... I think it is more wise to buy a G-waggon for 100 tonns in a credit as it is never gets old and no needs for mods.... Compearing for JK for 50 and still tons of greens for mods.... Believe me I know.... My JK is a second cash consumer (I have 3 other cars), and you know who is the first? My wife...... And she hates JK because of competition. So JK is a wrong car to buy it for the last money....

My credit has seen better days. I was shocked when my CU gave me 2.49 for 60 and 2.99 for 72 a couple of months ago.

I work for a credit union as well. We finance auto very much the same way. Your best bet is to go talk to them.

I financed through a credit union, I can't remember the rate at the moment but they beat out the banks. I just had to deposit $20 into a savings account to become a member. I'm very happy with them, I now do all of my banking there.

I was originally through ally on both my jeep loans. I used a local credit union on my first car loan and paid it off a few months early on my 2 year plan, then closed my account once the loan was paid off.

They called me wanting to purchase my current auto loans from ally. Dropped one from 13.5 to 2.9 intrest, and knocked 40 bucks a month off... Also knocked my wrangler from 9.9 to 3.4 and like 30 bucks off
