Default Anyone get this offer???

The dealership where i bought the Jeep from is offering to Buy back the Jeep at above market value and pay out ALL OUTSTANDING LEINS. Also goes on to say put us in a New 2010 Jeep With NO money down and 0%financing. Letter says they are a High demand vehicle and most challenging to replace. Also offering up to $11,500 in rebates and discounts.

To good to be true or just a ploy to get us to the dealership and make me Buy a 2010 Rubicon?????

Gotta be a sales gimmick. I used to get those about a couple of Chevy trucks I owned.

Sounds like BS. The will give you less than you think. Then they will pay off your old loan and tack on the negative equity onto your new loan.

sounds like "since we secretly figured out the cause of the burning jeep and since his jeep is one that is likely to catch fire and thus cause us lots of money in law suits, lets give him a great deal and cut our losses"

or its a scam... either way

Many dealerships will do this as a marketing tactic [I call it gimmick] to drive traffic from previous customers of the dealership back in. Normally, when they do this, they'll target someone that has bought the vehicle a couple of years back and might have a good chance of having some "equity" in the trade-in. Also, while the letter may go on to say that they're offering upto $11,500.00 in rebates and discounts, I'm sure you won't find anywhere in that letter that shows the two things together with an "AND". I'm yet to see any dealership offer way higher than trade-in value regardless of the demand of a vehicle, and I work for a dealership. Sure, they can "show" you more for the trade-in by using some of the rebates and/or mark-up in a vehicle but the bottom line is - if they end up giving you "up to" $11,500.00 [and pay attention to the "up to"], chances are that your trade-in will not be above market value as previously mentioned .

PS: Look at the small print somewhere wayyyyyyyyyyy down of the letter - it'll be there!

Most of the time were probably all better off not even opening those letters from dealers. The reason they don't go directly to the trash is in case it's a Recall notice. Although the last one had an "I am Jeep" sticker in it.

There is a reason why "car salesman" has a negative image...

Shopping around can get you above market value, money off the vehicle and rebates. I just did it. It was a combined 14 hours at three dealers, but I pulled it off. A combined 10K in savings on a new 2010 Heavy Duty Ram.

That is word for word the most common gimmick junk mail offer out there.

You will get them no matter what kind of vehicle you buy. You will also get ones offering extended warranties for years. Also a waste of time and money.
