New to the forum....Ordered my jeep 4 door sahara with mygig on feb 12. The dealer guarenteed that i would have it by the end of march/ early april. I got the call today saying that they won't have the mygig due to restrictions and that they are only accepting jeep orders for two more weeks until the next ordering season. I had my heart set on the mygig, and i know the dealer just said that i would have it to seal the deal... Any advice on what i should do.? Should I still order the truck...the dealer is putting the pressure on me because he said i need to give the final answer by tuesday the 27th. For those who have a 4 door, is it as good as the reviews are or should i go look at other SUVs??

 

The issue must be dealer-specific (i.e., they don't have enough allocation as a dealership) because other people on the forum have already received their JKs WITH MyGIG...

 

You "ordered" the Jeep on Feb 12th with MyGig. Now you are asking if you should still "order" the "truck"(sp) JEEP, and they need an answer by the 27th? Do you mean they need to know by the 27th if you want to "change" your order to not include MyGig on the order?

Only accepting orders for two more weeks until the "next" ordering season? Says who? 2008's will likely not be able to be ordered until late July or first of August....this is only late March.

I am not sure, but it sounds like your dealer may be a little short on actual knowledge.

 

my gig is not available for wranglers anymore.
and we mite get it stolen from the jeep .
and also think of the leaking hard top ...not good for electronics.

 

Lets face it.. there is currently NO other "SUV" that compares to the jeep.

 

I'd try my luck with a different dealer or at least a different salesman.
It sounds to me like this guy is trying to play you and pressure you into making a decesion.
Take your time and think it through. The JK's are not going any where. They will be around for quite a while , because they are way too popular at the moment.
Your the one who's gonna be shelling out the cash for a new vehicle....Slow down and do things in your time, not the dealers time.
You are the one who should be in control of the deal...not them.
If you don't like the way things are going, walk right out the door and go someplace else.

 

mygig might be on restricted status, but that does not necessarily mean it is not "available"....at least not permantly...Don-A-Vee usually posts good updates on things like this, and unless I completely missed it, I don't recall him posting that MyGig was no more for the Wranglers.
