So I found an Auto Rubi Unlmited, really wanted cloth seats, this one is leather, navi, auto climate, auto connectivity, tow receiver, 3.70 gears, hardtop only.
Color is correct. Price seems decent at MSRP 44,855 asking 41,300.
The good. Color/Rubi/Auto/starting price?
The bad. Leather/No soft top/3.70
Questions.
How screwed would I be if I wanted 35's and had the 3.70's w/auto. Is this a deal killer?
How hard is it to find a factory soft top? What are they going for these days?
This one seems a little more loaded than I had been originally looking for. Actually had a dealer do a search and there is not one on the east coast rubi/auto/4.10/soft top only/granite crystal metallic/cloth interior/navi.
Anybody seen one? Would consider going as far west as Ohio.

You could get by with 35s and 3.73s no problem.
When we were in the market for a 2012 JKR we couldn't find what we wanted either so we ordered our one.

The top shouldn't be an issue. When I traded in my 07 for a 15, they wanted to sell me a hard top. I got them to give me a factory soft top with the deal (same price), and then they offered me $1000 for the hard top when I picked it up.
I ended up selling the hard top for &1200 on Craigslist locally.

Ok narrowing in on where this is going.
Found a granite rubi unlimited hardrock about $5k off sticker. 6sp, probably should by an auto, but I did really like the 6sp last time.
Day one. Get it home, put on jack stands, pull the front axle housing (complete) and sell (put on craigslist or here).
Sell all tires and wheels
Order the hybrid D44/D60 from dynatrac. 5:31, high steer, manually locking hubs, etc.
Tires to be 37" Goodyear MTR's
Add AEV tire carrier to hard rock rear bumper
Figure out what to do about the rear axle and the bolt pattern
Clayton johnny joints control arms and some kind of coil over system
Some kind of bead lock wheels, not sure yet
Currie steering - maybe a psc ram kit?
Considering Hutchinson bead locks, but may have no budget left ....
Guessing this will be close to $65k after selling off the parts
Should be a fun project.
