You better check everything else over with a fine tooth comb seeing as you broke the weld. It wouldn't surprise me if there was more damage lurking around.

Check the control arm bushing at the frame. It may be damaged as well.

Default It all started out with a little bet...

For those of you that aren't from Alabama this weekend is the Iron Bowl Alabama vs Auburn. It's huge down here as some may know from the ESPN special on it awhile back. I was the last jeep of of 6 to try this bad mud hole. The girl that went before me rolled over on her side and nobody had made it. They bet me an Auburn sticker on my jeep I couldn't make it further than she did. She's locked on 35" PBR and ain't scared! So I took the bet got a running start and hit the hole at about 20-25 mph! Flew to a dead stop 3' short of her mark! Tried to back up and go forward... Nothing. Till my buddy asked if I was in 4wd. Looked down and was in 2wd!!! I'll never live that one down!

I tried again after setting the record for 2wd.... And beat her mark by about 4"!!! Ain't NO WAY IN HELL anyone's putting an Auburn sticker on my Jeep!!! Everything else looks good. Looks like I might have got lucky only bending my LCA Mount. The driver side tire is definitely about an inch further back than the passenger though. But the LCA mount is probably bent over 2" from stock location! That would make the driver side Tire be further back so I think it's ok. My buddy said the LCA mount did what it is designed to do in an accident lol!

Ok, so gonna be doing this Saturday. Really just wondering the best way to be sure the axle is straight before I weld the LCA mounts. Should I just find a cross member to measure from or what?

The only way to tell for sure is to take the axle out and put it on a axle jig to measure. Any other measurements are going to be estimates.

Got the new mounts installed! Took about 3 hrs. I got front axle back straight. It was 1 5/8" further back on the driver side. I measured off the front bumper using a torpedo level. Overall it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Going to adjust my toe after the Iron Bowl. Looks like the passenger tire is slightly turned to the right when the driver tire is straight. It isn't much though. Hopefully not a bent tie rod. It doesn't look bent, but would be hard to tell.
