Default Best oil/filter for Jeep

Hey everyone just wanted to see what brand of oil/filter everyone is using when they change the oil? What about these brands https://carwrenching.com/best-oil-fi...r-5-9-cummins/ ? I live in south texas, and my Jeep has roughly 10k miles on it.

Thanks for the help

What year Wrangler do you have? I use Valvoline Max Life 5W-20 with Mopar Oil Filter in my 3.6L 2015. What's really odd was once oil change I used a Fram Oil Filter (Mopar was sold out) and during engine start up I would get a little bit of rattle. Note: My Jeep is not driven daily so it may sit for 4-5 days before it is driven. Put a Mopar oil filter back in and no more rattle during start up even after sitting for several days, so I have continued to use the Mopar filter.

The Mopar filter is a good one. It's what the Jeep was designed to operate with, and area available in many places for a reasonable cost. if the Mopar one is not available, personally I'll use a Wix since they seem to be good quality.

I try to stay with the original Mopar, so far I've always been able to find one, it's designed for the engine in a Jeep, the copies are just copies that may or may not be to specs.
not just the size, but back pressure and flow rate can make a difference that is worth it to me to stay with the original

I use an Amsoil filter for my 3.8L engine. Works just fine. If I am in a rush I've had no issues with Purolator. This is personal opinion, I'd never put a Fram on any of my engines.

I only use WIX filters period, they're the best out there. Project farm just did a test on the air filters and it was by far the best one. On my 3.8 I use the oil filter from the 3.7 motor (WIX 51516 or NAPA Gold 1516 - same filter) as it is almost twice the size of the stock one. I have been using these filters for about 150K miles now, if not longer with no issues. Jeep has 204K miles.

I've used several brands and haven't noticed any difference. My local Walmart carries mopar filters so that's what I've been using recently.

Robs right on this one. Sounds like you might still be under warranty also. The mopar ones are designed and keep warranty in tact. They are cheap at walmart and online you can just get like 5 along with cheap oil too and free shipping. I seriously order like 25 quarts of 5w-20 for the year along with like 4 filters.

I use either Mobil 1 Synthetic or Valvoline Synthetic. Both seem to work well, although I've read a lot of people have issues with the Mobil 1. As far as the filter I buy whatever the local auto parts store has in stock.

Mine is way out of warranty, but you all do know that your warranty cannot be voided based on the brand of oil or filter or anything else you use? As long as it meets the manufacturers recommended specs you can use any brand and and shop/DIY for any vehicle maintenance.Look up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

I've reported on this many times here: Mobil 1 does not carry the required MS spec for our jeeps. Their dyno oil does, but not Mobil 1.
