I think there junk. I had 2 of them and had ripped stitching and a strap rip off. So I would say don't waste your money.

Its a give and take. Ive had both the stock top and now my trek top. overall I like it. Its nice to have it in the jeep in case it rains, time to install is just slightly faster than the stock top, quality is definately not as good as stock. If I were to do it all over again.. Id keep the stock top for winter and run a bikini, windjammer setup for summer.

apparently they have totally redesigned them, I had one of the originals, but sent it back, the redesign is supposed to fix all the "issues"

I have a two door Sahara 09. I bought it with a hard top but my heart is aching to go topless before the summer ends. Since its hurricane season here dont want to get jacked in the rain. The cheapest and best option currently seems to be trektop. I am concerned about the ease of removal and installation too. So will let you know when I go through the experience.

I am going to the 4wheelparts store tomorrow to order mine. I am gonna request a price match to 4wheelonline'dot'com (http://4wheelonline.com/jeep/Product...oductID=250076) which is offering the top for $476.18.

On a side note, do you guys have any suggestions for hard top storage for an apartment dweller like me? The dimensions are roughly 4.5' x 5.5' x 2.5'.

Default Trektop

Dont do it! I purchase a trektop a month age and it SUCKS!!!!! Tons of wind noise, door surrounds dont fit, held together by velcro. And even better when you contact Bestop they tell you to fix the problems yourself?!? I have re-named there item to "Craptop"

I suggest you take a look at one in person and deciede from there. They are a good top, just not as good as factory.

I just got mine and put it on yesturday and its going strong so far. The only issue i have had is the header is a pain in the ass to get screwed on. To me a latch system like the stock top has would be much more convienent. I'm sure after it gets broken in it will be alot better. Another slight problem is with the screws that hold the door surrounds there are 4 of them and they gave me 1 that was shorter then the other 3 and the washer and locking lug nut wouldn't fit on. I have a bunch of nuts and bolts laying around so it wasn't a huge deal. I got mine for $520 plus shipping I think for the price and the look of it it is worth the money. I have the "new and improved" one with little to no issues I'll update in the next few weeks and let you know how its going.

as for getting the top on and off the rolling up of the front part is nice, But to get the entire top off you need to take the whole thing apart which sucks I wanted a soft top for summer and i pretty much have a top that dose everything my hard top did with the 2 panels off. Minus being able to take out the back window which is nice. But for $520 and the way it looks i'm a happy camper
