Default Biggest Tires...

Who can tell me what the biggest tires I can put on my stock 08 Sahara? I have the 18" rims but want to put whatever the biggest baddest looking tires I can on there with some sidewall protection???

Also I f I do all 5 tires will it still fit on the back tire carrier?

Thanks,

Gromet

Biggest with or without a lift? Without a lift, I'd have to say 33" and even with that, you will most likely see some minor rubbing at a full turn and more so at a full flex. With a lift, it all depends on how tall you go and/or if you have a set of tube fenders.

As far as tires with good side wall protection goes, TrXus M/T's are really tough and so far, I have been very happy with my new ProComp Xtreme M/T's. Goodyear MTR's are always good as well.

+1 for the ProComp Xtreme M/T's... as for the rear tire carrier... I fit a 35" back there... Depending on the rim you put it on, you may need a spacer... mine was fine w/my ProComp Wheels... they have 4.5" BS on them. Just prior to putting my 3" lift on, I put my 35's on and they didn't rub if you stayed on the pavement... but that's no fun! I would agree w/wayolife... w/out a lift, 33's are probably about as big as you want to get.

Hell the stock knocked my PA speaker I temporarly installed off in a sharp turn and I thought for sure it would not rub (Thankfully it was a test run). I will guarentee with the little extra a 33 has you will rub in a sharp turn of the wheel.
