Kermit was broken into last night. Luckily the top and windows were down, every other car on my street had a broken window unless it was unlocked.




I have no idea what they were after, they left my checkbook and $180 sunglasses. All of the purses stolen out of other people's cars were found in the bushes up the street, with their credit and debit cards found cut in half nearby.

I had left the center console unlocked, but my GPS in the glove box was saved by the patented Chrysler Break-Away Security Handle.


I am also lucky that I had hidden the garage door opener in the roll bar padding, as other peoples garages were opened and rifled through. How you don't hear your garage door opening in the middle of the night is beyond me...

Total damage is one $55 glove box handle, and one $1.29 Bic lighter stolen out of the cup holder. (But they left the $2 in quarters, dumbasses)

 

I did not know the glove box handle was a breakaway like that! Thats kinda cool, $55 sucks. But my GPS is in there most of the time. Sorry to hear about the breakin, atleast it wasn't too bad for you. It's a bad bad feeling

 

That sucks. I cannot stand thieves.

It actually sounds like they were pretty smart. Quarters take up space, make noise, etc. and just wouldn't be worth it. Neither would your sunglasses if pawned. No idea why they took the lighter.

 

It looks like they also stole your expensive golf clubs from the rear seat.

 

dont be too confident in it... i used a paperclip and had it open in 10 seconds

 

Moral is they can get what they want, but if they're flurrying through everything, there is a decent chance...like posted, they'll say 'screw it' and move on.

 

Just got done talking to the cops and they seem to think it was some kids out for a laugh. Nothing of value was actually stolen, aside from a few GPS units, just thrown into the bushes a few houses away. They also found a cache of about six antennas they had taken off cars.

 

That sucks. First thing I thought of was kids when you described what they did to you and others.

Man that sucks still.

wtf would they cut the credit cards?? No respect.
