This is ripe for some sort of hipsters-turn-zombies comment where they attack the city in 80's thrift attire, but I just haven't figured out how to word it with the kind of snap I'm looking for Maybe that in itself will do.

Personally, I believe in some level of preparedness, zombie-apocalypse conspiracies aside. Sometimes it's not about zombies. Consider having to shelter in place like I did in 2006 when a windstorm-followed-by-snow knocked out major services and power for almost 9 days in my residential area. I was unprepared back then, but not anymore.

To answer the question, in a true bugout scenario, it involves some of the shelter-in-place planning I've already done, plus a few guns, booze, cash, and stuff I've got around the house. It's not in a bag, though, too big. It and my loved ones will all fit in the Jeep, though.

Boston shows that no place is worst-case scenario-proof.

I can think of a few potential and realistic developments in Boston, which would make preparedness save the day.
