Where can I verify the specific date that my jeep was built? I thought it was on the door jamb but my jeep only has month/year (10/10). Or is that 10/10 the month day? It is a 2011. Shouldn't there be a full month/day/year code somewhere?

It would be cool if my jeep was made on 10/10/10. I know that it went had KZ status on 10/18/10

On the white sticker that has the date of manufacture in the upper left corner, look at the lower right corner for the line labeled "MDH". That is the month, day, and hour it was completed.

(The sticker is vertical, but I refer to it as if it were horizontal for reading.)

Mine says "MDH 012410". That is Jan 24 @ 10am. A Thursday build.
Nine days later, I drove it home.

I just stopped by the Chrysler dealer one day & they printed out a build sheet for free in about a minute and a half. It has the day/month/year on it.

I had it for three months before I realized my build build date was my Birthday.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I just found it. It got me wondering what my JKs build date was, so I went out and checked it. The MDH says 042906. I'm reading that as April 29th @ 6am. The Date of MFR reads 5-08.
So April or May?

I would read that as the 6th hour of production that day, not 6am. Same for the 20 in the next post. Thats when it actually rolled off the end of the line. I would interpret the 5-08 as the day the plant felt the vehicle was good to go. Could have been to parts shortage or any variety of reasons.

Sorry to revive this but I just read the responses. My MFG date is 10-10 (10-10-2010) but the MDH reads 092017 (09/20/2011 5pm).

I like the idea of her being "born" on 10/10/10 so I'm going with that.

20 would be 8pm in my opinion, or as another poster said, the 20th hour of the production day. Hard to say when the production day starts or ends so I like to think military time is the last two digits.
