Default Bumper or Trucklite Headlights?

So I have around $400-$450 to spend on the jeep and I'm thinkin either an E auto grilles bumper (below) or a set of Trucklite headlights... What does everyone think? Also if you have any other suggestions I'm open to other ideas, thanks in advance!!

Well what do you need more? If you drive a lot at night, I'd say go with the headlights. You can cut your stock bumper for free and that'll be a nice change too. There are plenty of reviews on both choices on here.

Headlights for sure. Very practical and you'd be amazed at how much better they are than stock. I'd get the anti flicker harness as well.

Honestly I've been debating for the past couple weeks, so I just made the move and bought the trucklite headlights with the anti flicker adapter

Understanding that you've committed yourself, and not trying to be critical of your decision or to change your mind, but I just want to point out for future folks who might read this that there are much cheaper solutions to the JK's terrible OEM lights than Trucklites. I have the IPF JK replacement headlights and they are very good. Perhaps not as good as the Trucklites--though I can't see as well with LED light as with Halogen/tungsten lights, but that's my eyes--but the money saved there can be spent on something else. Back in my engineering days we would say "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good enough." A pair of these for $68 ...

IPF Jeep JK, TJ H4 Headlights - Pair (920HJKTJ)

... with a pair of the cheapest Sylvania Halogen bulbs from AutoZone ($20) made a huge improvement in my ability to see at night.

Just food for thought.

Edit: Actually, I bought mine when they first came out and paid $170 (http://northridge4x4.com/shop/ipf-92...it-jk-920h-kit). But they came with blue bulbs I hated, which is why I picked up the Sylvania bulbs. Not certain if the link I provide higher up includes the required wiring harness to adapt to the H4 bulbs. That isn't clear from either page I've linked, but I know the bottom one does come with it. So, there may be a bit more cost to get the needed hardware. Still cheaper than Trucklites.

That's a good point, trucklites are expensive, but I just love the look and the stock lights are terrible, my only question now is.... Do I put the headlights guards on the trucklites when I get them or just put the stock ring back on? Not sure how the guard will look on the new lights...

Do NOT put the headlight guards on. I had the guards on my old stock headlights and when I bought TLs, I tried to take the guards off to use them, but they rusted and became essentially welded themselves to the old stock housing. That's the last thing I would want to do to TLs.
