The sahara style steps really do keep things cleaner. They make such a difference my coworker just got a set. Our offices are in an office park with many sites under construction. Even if you don't wheel, the mud from all the earthworks in the area was endig up all over the sides of his ride. I've seen some mangled steps on this site. I don't plan on any rock climbing in the near future. So barring me dropping off of a good sized tree stump these steps wont hit anything that the front flenders missed.

 

I'm tempted to get the bottom curved part of the rockers and the door hinges themselves Rhino Lined (or Line-X'd).
I just wish you could convice any shop to fire up their gun for less than $300.
